Concerned patrons attended the January 16, 2019 Board of Directors meeting and requested that we provide some links regarding the proceedings of the Asphalt Batch Plant that is planned to be moved to the Linscott Gravel Pit on Pit Road in Sagle.

Below is a link to the hyrdogeologic study that JUB Engineers performed in 2001 on the Southside/Sagle Aquifer which is the drinking water source for the Southside Water and Sewer District. Also, a link to a follow-up study performed by the IDEQ in 2008 which formed the basis for wellhead protection efforts in the area.

Notice:

To All Southside Water & Sewer Patrons:

On August 15, 2018, Southside Water and Sewer held a rate
hearing and regular meeting where the Board of directors
approved an increase effective October 1, 2018.

The per ERU (equivalent residential unit) increase is $2.00 per month for Water and $7.50 per month for Sewer. Please see Appendix A on the Ordinances-Rates-Schedules tab.

New rates for 1 ERU: Water $35.60 & Sewer $62.10.

Board Mandate

Our mission is to provide public sewer and water service to property owners in the district while preserving and protecting the aquifer, river and lake.  To assure pure drinking water and effectively treated wastewater we maintain the highest security, safety, construction practices and operating standards, while practicing fiscal responsibility.  We continually monitor water quality and manage the watershed to understand and prevent negative influences while operating a safe, secure and reliable sewer and water utility.  We take pride in our community and continually seek to improve the services we provide our customers.

The Southside Water and Sewer District office is located in The Ravenwood Building at the corner of South 4th Avenue and Pine, Suite A in Sandpoint. 

We are open for customer service on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 2pm.
